Social Commitments

From 1958 until today, at the Jaypee Group, we have never seen the distinction between building a dam as high as a hundred storey building; or a high school for small-town children with big dreams; a village-level self-help centre that empowers a local woman to re-write her family’s future; or a cutting-edge rural ambulance service that routinely saves hundreds of lives. To us, these are all very much a part of the vision that forms the foundation of our corporate mission: to build the infrastructure that builds a new India, a country at the forefront of the world’s developed nations, yet a country with a soul: where nation building and social responsibility go hand in hand, and every citizen has access to every possible opportunity to create a better life for themselves.

While the former goals are well served through our many corporate entities spanning sectors ,from Infrastructure Development to Real Estate, from Education to Hospitality, the latter are implemented through the Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan, a not-for-profit trust built around the vision of Founder Chairman Shri Jaiprakash Gaur: that growth and responsibility go hand in hand; that to get ahead you have to carry people with you; and that giving back isn’t just good business strategy, it’s the only way to transform a corporation that started out as one man’s vision, into a great institution for the ages.
