Long before our first dam, years before our first cement plant, we built a free school and hospital.
Today they tell us, what we did is called Corporate Social Responsibility.

Corporate Social Responsibility is an integral part of everything that we do. Throughout the years we have focused on our values, reducing the impact on the environment and being engaged with our communities. Corporate Social responsibility is instilled in our Vision, our strategies and management goals. The ethical standing of the Organization is evident in the unquestioned credibility it has patiently built over the years with all its stakeholders. In fact just like ethical practices and creation of a healthy workplace environment, Corporate Social Responsibility is embedded in our culture.

The Company with its environmentally responsible operations and strong partnerships with the communities, strives for inclusive and sustainable growth across various locations, through the JAIPRAKASH SEWA SANSTHAN (JSS), established by Shri Jaiprakash Gaur, Founder Chairman of the 20,000 crore Jaypee Group, in 1993, to bring the many not-for-profit activities of the group under one common umbrella, in order to give them a unified focus and direction.

Conceptualizing and implementing a vast range of initiatives—from education to healthcare and from rural development to disaster relief—the Sansthan today spearheads one of the largest altruistic CSR programmes run by any single-entity corporate anywhere in the country. Our Corporate CSR initiatives go far beyond compliance and promote positive impact on the Environment and stakeholders both internal and external.

These are all very much a part of the Vision that forms the foundation of our Corporate Mission: a symbiotic relationship… the blurring of lines between our business and profitability goals and our not for profit educational, developmental and social ones...hard wired into our DNA.
